About Me
My name is Steve Ozminkowskiand I am a professional Karate instructor and custom fabricator from western New York. I started painting as a way to practice Zen, but over the years (and with some help and advice from some big names in the fantasy and imaginative realism artist community) I have grown to love painting for the sake of painting. I fancy myself as a traditional artist, and I have worked in inks, spray paints, colored pencil, copic markers, acrylic, watercolors, and a bit of fine carpentry.
II paint under the pseudonym “Ozminkoski” which is the spelling of my Grandfather’s name as an homage to his influence on my art. The stamp and signature with which marks all of my work is the Japanese spelling of my name and can be romanized with either the traditional or the pseudonym spelling.
I have had the pleasure and privelage of being included in a number of projects including but not limited to:
I was an artist included in the Shard Bugs The Bug-inning TCG first edition, and subsequent First Bounty sets. I created the world’s first (publicly shared at least) Shard Bugs TCG Card Alter, and I created them on the game’s sample cards.
I am a huge fan of Sorcery Contested Realm TCG, and although I have not been asked or allowed to have my work featured on a production card, I have had the honor of creating the featured image of Seattle’s 2024 Sorcery Convention (Sorcery Con 1), have created the featured image of the Free City Conventicle (Chicago’s regional tournament), have created the works for the fan created Multi Player variation of the game, and have had my work featured on the cover of The Ruby Core-ier multiple times (SCR’s only print magazine in circulation currently).
I have been blessed with the opportunities to show in person all over the east coast, and my work has sold all around the globe.
I am available for commissions, and my works are available to be licensed.
